Why James Island clients cross town
What brings people across from James Island is a reformer studio where the class caps at eight and the instructor has time to work with each person.
Ours is a single room: music on, no microphones needed, and a full mirrored wall along one side so you can see yourself as you move. Every client manages their own carriage — springs, foot bar, straps — with an instructor there to help you adjust. One reviewer who has trained here more than a year says she has never taken the same class twice.
If you are already crossing the bridge for work or for downtown, the studio sits between Highway 17 and Mathis Ferry Road on the Mount Pleasant side, which makes it an easy addition rather than a separate trip.
Three ways to train
Reformer classes
Forty-five minutes, eight people maximum, seven days a week. Four for $150 or eight for $260, valid thirty days.

Over the connector, through downtown, across the Ravenel
The usual route is the James Island Connector into downtown, up East Bay Street, then over the Ravenel Bridge onto Highway 17. S. Shelmore Blvd is just off it, between Highway 17 and Mathis Ferry Road. Alternatively, 526 around the top avoids the peninsula entirely.
The Ravenel is the variable — it moves well most of the day and slowly at rush hour. Free parking directly outside the studio at the other end.

Coming from James Island
What is the class like?
Group reformer classes are capped at eight on Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers, with enough floor space around each one to extend fully. Instructors work with you hands-on rather than calling cues from the front of the room.
How busy is the Ravenel?
It moves well outside peak hours. Mid-morning and early afternoon classes are the easiest to reach from James Island; if you are coming at rush hour, 526 around the top can be the better route.
Do you offer private sessions as well as classes?
Yes. Private sessions are $90 for forty-five minutes, and semi-private is $60 per person for two or three people, reserved by phone.
Two classes for $50
Any group reformer class on the schedule, with a full equipment orientation on your first visit.
